Maui Hyatt Guestroom Review
Hyatt Regency Maui Resort Hotel
Maui Hyatt guestroom review. Review of the guestrooms at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort Hotel on Kaanapali beach. See what it's like to stay in one of the most beautiful hotels in Maui, Hawaii.
The feather bed in our oceanfront room at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Maui is THE most comfortable bed I have ever slept in anywhere. I don't know the precise thread count of the linens but it is HIGH.
I am a woman who values a good night's sleep and I dress my bed at home accordingly but the bed at the Maui Hyatt put my bed at home to shame.
Sinking into those milk white sheets was like sleeping on a cloud.
Now, I'm not exaggerating when I use the word sinking. This bed is so soft. You actually sink down into it. I didn't want to get up in the morning.
The Hyatt Maui will sell you a replica of the bed and the dressings if you like.
I thought briefly about buying one of these sets for my bed at home but quickly decided against it. Tiny and I would probably never get any work done.

All the furnishings and finishes in the room are high end. The only thing I would caution you about is the size of the room. It's kind of small for the price. We paid about $450 per night including resort fees and taxes.
The view of the ocean was fantastic. The furniture was comfortable although small. I've included a picture of my 6'5", 300 lb. husband sitting on the sofa to give you an idea of the scale.
The bathroom was small but otherwise nice. The adjacent dressing area made the arrangement workable. Everything was perfectly clean which is something I am fanatical about in hotel rooms.
See the 2 bottles of water on the counter? We were there in September, Hawaii's hottest month. I thought the Fiji water was a nice touch until I picked one up and read the attached tag.
These people want $5 per bottle for this!
I found this to be a complete turn off in an otherwise lovely stay. It makes them seem greedy when other, much less expensive, hotels offer this to their guests just as a courtesy.
This room had a small balcony. What you see in the picture is pretty much it.
I did go out and sit at the table but it isn't a comfortable space. It's just too tight. Tiny took one look at it and stayed inside the room.My Hyatt Hotel Maui Advice:
This is arguably the most beautiful hotel in Maui. You'll find my review of the spectacular grounds and lobby HERE.
Many visitors book the Hyatt Regency Maui Hotel Lahaina for weddings or special events. I think this is probably the best Maui lodging for that sort of thing.
The rooms are big enough to be comfortable for 2 people. The club level suites are more spacious but also more pricey ($950 per night ball park) for a family vacation.
A Maui vacation villa or condo would give you more room to spread out. The drawback to vacation rentals in Maui is that they don't usually come with daily maid service or on-site restaurants.
Also, I have heard that some of the garden view rooms at the Maui Hyatt are not in great condition so if you do decide to stay here, book an oceanfront room and avoid disappointment.
